Stylians

Stylians is a two-part platform for the beauty and styling marketplace, pairing a Next.js frontend with a Django REST API backend. The app connects stylists and salons with clients (stylers) through searchable profiles, service listings, portfolios, and booking workflows. Users can sign up, authenticate with JWT, and manage their own dashboards: stylists handle availability, services, and portfolio updates; salons manage teams and business profiles; clients browse, book, and review. An AI styling area adds guidance and inspiration alongside traditional discovery. The frontend provides public pages for finding stylists and salons, plus role-specific dashboards and admin views. The backend exposes versioned REST endpoints, starting with a complete authentication suite (register, login, refresh, logout, and current-user profile updates) and a roadmap for domain APIs across hair, beauty, fashion, marketplace, and consulting. Data is organized in a multi-schema PostgreSQL setup, and the stack includes tooling for migrations, scripts, and future integrations. Overall, Stylians aims to be a full service marketplace with modern UI, secure auth, scalable domain modules, and room to expand into richer booking, messaging, and notification features as development continues. It is designed for local discovery, transparent pricing, and consistent customer experiences across mobile and desktop, backed by centralized data management.
